As I drove home from Chris and Colleen's engagement session in Wildwood, NJ this past weekend, I was like on a sort of runner's high...a photographer's high perhaps? I don't know, but I was in a super happy, elated mood, that I know. And it's totally because of these two. Colleen and Chris are amazing. Like, completely awesome people. I feel like we just totally clicked immediately and it made shooting their session one of the most fun times I've had on a shoot. Seriously. They are just so genuine and so perfect together, I love them and I am SOOOO excited for their wedding this December. This shoot is one part pretty, one part fun and one part danger. No but really. There was danger. Well, as far as I was concerned anyway. Colleen is a total roller coaster aficionado. She has traveled all over to ride the biggest and fastest in the world and can spew off all these roller coaster facts and specs, it's pretty ridiculously awesome. Me, on the other hand, I have a terrible fear of any and all rides. I do like the merry-go-round though, it's my speed. So when I saw the giant ferris wheel looming over the pier, I knew I really wanted to go up in it to get a shot, but the anxiety started to paralyze me. Somehow though, between me telling myself I HAD to overcome my fear, Colleen and Chris being super supportive and the ferris wheel operator promising me he would only send me around one time, I did it! I rode the ferris wheel! Yes, there was screaming involved. Yes, my hands were shaking so much it's a wonder I got a shot at all. Yes, the evil ferris wheel operator lied and did not stop the ride after one go around, laughing as I screamed on the second ascent. But, I did it. And I lived to tell the tale.
Anyway, this whole shoot was a total blast, and it was SO hard to narrow down my favorites for this post, so I added a new slideshow to the website where you can check out more of Chris and Colleen's super fun session. In the meantime, here are a few favs!
