I met up with Emily and Gregg for a fun little couples shoot in Lambertville, NJ the other month. It was super windy and I was afraid we were going to get blown off the bridge, but we didn't so phew! :) I want Emily's hair color so badly, isn't she gorgeous? However I don't want to confuse my already confused look of olive skin and freckles that I've got going on. ;) Together these two run Emily Wren Photography and I've had the pleasure of working with them as an associate this year shooting weddings while still focusing on families and portraits on my own. Here are just a couple of favorites from our afternoon together!
...she graduated kindergarten. I was so worried at the beginning of this year. I remember walking back to the car sobbing hysterically behind my sunglasses after dropping her off on the first day. Veteran moms were probably looking at me like I was nuts. Haha! But as it happens, I had nothing to worry about. She blossomed this year. I love this little sweet head. Now a first grader. Gah! So proud. :)
I got to photograph this sweet little nugget come into the world a couple of months ago and it was amazing, beautiful, incredible...there really are no words that do it justice. I get teary eyed just thinking about the moment little Julia made her debut and her parents got to hold her for the first time. I photographed her big sister Florence's birth a few years ago and was so honored to be able to do it again. Can I please photograph a birth like once a week? Actually that might be dangerous because I'll end up with baby fever and have like 10 more kids. Ha! I met up with these guys a week and a half later to do a newborn session in their home and included a few favorites from that session after the birth photos above. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! :)
I mean, come on. Could Julian be any sweeter?? He was such a good baby for our session too, I adore this little guy. My husband loves when I photograph newborns because it makes me want another one and he has made it clear that he is on board for as many as possible. ;) These guys made being new parents seem like a breeze and were totally laid back and so sweet during the whole session. The whole shoot was a total dream. And any session that adds in a pup gets bonus points with me! :)
My spring and early summer are really starting to book up so if you are interested in a session, contact me soon! I'd love to photograph your family! :)
These guys have been completely renovating their new house for the past 6 months while still living in their old house a couple of blocks away. That's not too much stress right? Completely gutting and remodeling a house with baby #2 on the way?? Nah, totally fine. ;) Their new house is gorgeous though and even though they still weren't moved in yet and there were still people there working, we decided to shoot their maternity session in the new house, bare rooms and all. :) I loved it! The light was my favorite. I would like to shoot more sessions like this for sure. Anyone moving soon and want a session? :)
I can't wait to meet this new little person VERY soon!!
